Charles R. Chesek

Charles R. Chesek, 90, passed from this life on Thursday, December 30, 2021. He was the loving husband of Mary Jane (Irwin) Chesek and they were married on November 23, 1957. Born in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Alice (Amey) Chesek. Charles, known to some as Ronnie, was a management analyst with the government. He enjoyed gardening and sharing his love of plants and flowers with his grandchildren. He had also worked at Brown’s Orchards & Farm Market, Miller Plant Farm, Inc., and Blueberry Hill. He loved his grandchildren and dogs. He was proud of his military service in the Navy from 1950 to 1954 and he was known for his quick wit up until the end. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Ronald I. Chesek and his wife, Kimberly of Selbyville, DE, Craig B. Chesek of New Freedom, and Susan A. Reagoso and her husband, Michael of Pasadena, MD; 5 grandchildren, Blair Chesek and Gabrielle, Chloe, Hawkin, and Harper Reagoso; and 1 sister, Carol Keniff of Florida. Charles was preceded in death by 5 siblings. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at New Freedom Baptist Church; 851 Campbell Rd., New Freedom, PA 17349. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: St. Labre Indian School at www.stlabre.org or St. Joseph's Indian School at www.stjo.org/dec or to American Parkinson Disease Association at www.apdaparkinson.org or to Parkinson Foundation at www.parkinson.org.
