Herman E. Stahler

September 27, 1943 - January 3, 2022

Herman E. Stahler, 78, of Glen Rock, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022. He was the loving husband of Sarah Ann (Albright) Stahler, together they celebrated 47 years of marriage. Born in White Hall, MD, Herman was the son of the late Harry Highfield and Nora Lee (Booth) Stahler. Herman was a United States Army Veteran. He retired as a Truck Driver from L& H Trucking, Hanover, PA and worked for many years at Blue Diamond Trucking, Baltimore, MD. He was Charter member of the New Freedom Trail church of the Nazarene. He loved ten pin bowling and participated in league bowling. He also enjoyed surf fishing. He is survived by his wife Ann; his sister, Nancy Lee Carr and her husband James Nelson Carr of Stewartstown, PA; sister – in- law, Linda K. Clemens and husband Andrew Clemens of Parkville, MD; nieces and nephews, Deborah Davidson and husband Thomas Davidson, James Carr and wife Angela Carr, Angela Forsythe and husband Matthew Forsythe, Kimberly Hudson and husband Luke Hudson; 4 great nieces and nephews, Heather Davidson, Taylor Davidson, Wesley Davidson and James Davidson. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd St., New Freedom, PA 17349 is assisting the family. A Memorial Service will be held at a date in the future. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Herman’s memory to American Diabetes Association; 150 Monument Rd., Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 or New Freedom Trail church of the Nazarene; 16535 Susquehanna Trail S, New Freedom, PA 17349.
