LeEsta Mae Mays-Kelbaugh

January 18, 1925 - February 12, 2022

LeEsta Mae Mays-Kelbaugh, 97, passed away on February 12, 2022. LeEsta was the beloved wife of the late Daniel Gilbert Mays. She was born on January 18, 1925 in Morgan County, Berkeley Springs, West Virginia to the late Raymond and Daisy (Hendrickson) Weber. LeEsta worked until she was 85 years old as a Presser for Webster’s that eventually became Joseph A. Banks, Clothing Company. During World War II, LeEsta worked at The Black & Decker Plant assembling armatures for the war effort, so she really was a “Rosie the Riveter”. LeEsta enjoyed archery and even won the Gunpowder Bowman Club Championship. She loved crocheting, gardening and camping with her family. LeEsta especially loved preparing large meals for family gatherings. These were no ordinary meals, they were elaborate and delicious! LeEsta was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. LeEsta is survived by her loving children, Daniel G. Mays, Jr. and Deborah L. Tillman; adoring grandchildren, Jim, Linda, Brandon, Julie, Holly and W. Tench; and ten dear great grand-children; and one great great grandchild; she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy L. Jenkins (Jerry); her twin brother, Lester Weber (Viola) and her other brothers, Hammond Weber (Elizabeth), Charles Weber (Dinh), and Daniel Weber (Doris); She was also predeceased by her son in law, William Tillman and daughter in law, Victoria Mays. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, May 7th, at Norrisville United Methodist Church, 2811 W. Church Lane, White Hall, MD 21161.
