Leslie A. Dupree

March 24, 2022

Leslie A. Dupree, 80, passed from this life surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 24, 2022. She was the loving wife of Donald L. Dupree and they shared forty-eight years of marriage. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Mary Margaret (Rebert) Woodburn. Leslie worked for Becton Dickinson in Cockeysville, Maryland, retiring with over twenty years of service. "Gammy", as even she asked to be known by her nurses during her final days, was who she truly was. She loved doing anything and everything with her children and grandchildren. Gardening, crafting, playing games, talking, watching movies, planning parties, or just sitting together and watching the birds, was what she loved best, as long as they were there. The warm sand on her feet at Daytona Beach was her happy place, where she spent 2 weeks every year with her husband, Don. Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Stephen D’Anna and his wife, Teresa of Catonsville, MD, Eric D’Anna and his wife, Tonya of Peyton, CO, Todd D’Anna and his wife, Lara of Northfield, NJ, and Lara Thompson and her husband, Travis of Red Lion; 19 grandchildren; and a brother, Brent Woodburn of Red Lion. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a visitation from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 1, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd St., New Freedom. A memorial service will begin at 11:30 a.m, with a luncheon to follow. Leslie loved flowers, so floral arrangements can be sent to the funeral home, if you so desire. HartensteinCares.com
