Alan R. Miller

Alan Richard Miller, 78, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Born in Cockeysville, MD, we was the son of the late Harry M. and Doris M. (Fendlay) Miller. He was the husband to the late Wanda Jean (Sheeler) Miller for 40 years when she passed on March 29, 2009.

Alan was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Army. After his military tour, he worked as a long-distance truck driver going cross-country delivering all different types of materials. In his younger years, he greatly enjoyed racing motorcycles and cars. One of his greatest past times was spending time with friends at the Stewartstown VFW.

He is survived by his son, Richard A. Miller and his wife Patricia “Trish”; his grandson, Douglas A. Miller; great-granddaughter, Clara E. Miller; Samantha “Sam” L. Sheeler; brother, Harry M. Miller, Jr. and his wife Judy; and a niece and nephew.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 6-7pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. A Celebration of Life will begin at 7pm at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Melissa A. McDade.
