Albert Hugh Holmes

Albert Hugh Holmes, 74, passed from this life on Saturday, November 19, 2022. He was the loving husband of Rose(Poleshuk) Holmes and they would have celebrated 32 years of marriage this coming February. Born in Vinnie, Pulaski County, Kentucky, Al was the son of the late Hugh M. and Josephine (Burton) Holmes. A graduate of Dunedin High School in Dunedin, Florida, Al owned and operated Holmes Communications Inc. for many years until his retirement. He was a member of Moose International since 1993 and was an auxiliary member of the Stewartstown VFW. When he was not working, he enjoyed spending time traveling, boating, and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Surviving in addition to his beloved wife are six children: Albert ‘Jeffrey’ Holmes, Brian ‘Todd’ Holmes, Jeremy A. Holmes, Samuel M. Holmes, Daniel E. Holmes, and Kimberly N. Nunes; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Miller. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Earl Holmes.
