Beulah M. Burkins

Beulah Jean (Maglaughlin) Burkins, 89, of Stewartstown, died Monday, August 11, 2025, at her home. Born in Delta, York County, she was the daughter of the late William Arthur and Inez (Burk) Maglaughlin and was the last surviving child of six. She was the loving wife of the late William W. Burkins.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed many hours sewing and quilting, going to races, and dancing the night away with her late husband. She was a member of the Stewartstown United Methodist Church, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and the Stewartstown VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Beulah is survived by her three sons, Roy E. Burkins (Wendy), Ronald E. Burkins (Susan), and Reginald “Reggie” E. Burkins, all of Stewartstown; four grandchildren, Raquel Blackson (Justin), Roxy Burkins, Emily and Christopher Kandra-Listopad; six great-grandchildren, Rhett, Adaliene, Wylden Roy, Shelby, Wyatt, and Warren; Sherry Joines, who Beulah saw as a daughter; and Sharon Mullins, who she took under her wing as her niece.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Edna Davis, Randall Maglaughlin, Lillian McConnell, Nora Delp, and Hilda Brown.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday, August 25th from 6-8pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 26th at 11am. Interment will take place following the service in Stewartstown Cemetery.
