Bisker R. "Jr." or "Cricket" Hollingshead, Jr., 68, entered into the open arms of his loving father on May 12 at Stella Maris in Timonium, Md. He was the loving husband of Patricia A. (Grothe) Hollingshead and they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 26. Public viewings will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 16 at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. Cremation will follow. Inurnment will be private. "Jr." was born in York on June 3, 1947 to the late Bisker R. and Mabel (Shattley) Hollingshead. He enjoyed working around his home and watching old westerns. He loved and enjoyed his children and grandchildren. "Jr." was formerly employed at White Hall Paper Mill and most currently worked for Gray and Son, Inc. He leaves behind his wife; two sons, Jeffrey L. Hollingshead and his wife, Pamela and Patrick R. Hollingshead and his wife, Susie; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Margaret M. Trone, William Hollingshead, Patricia E. Hollingshead, Gayle Norris and Martha Norris. "Jr." is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Stacey Ann Hollingshead Almony; and one brother, Franklin E. Hollingshead. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are recommended to the American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403.
