Carol Augustine

Carol Marie Augustine (Greaux), 77, of Shrewsbury Pennsylvania passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on December 25, 1948 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands to the late Isidore Joseph Greaux and Selanie Maria (Quetel).

Carol came to the States so she could follow her dreams of Nursing. She went to Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing. Carol was a family-oriented person who adored and loved her grandchildren. She also loved animals, especially her dogs. She enjoyed reading and watching birds.

Carol is survived by her children Jennifer Mentzell (husband Chris) and Michael Augustine (Wife Christie), her grandchildren Reilly Mentzell, Collin Mentzell and Morgan Augustine. She is also survived by her former husband Albert Augustine.

She is preceded in death by her brother Joseph Greaux and her aunt and uncle Valentine and Edward Greaux.

A public visitation will be held at Hartenstein Funeral & cremation Care, Inc. (24 N. Second St. New Freedom, PA 17349) on Friday March 27, 2026 from 9:30AM – 11:00AM.

A prayer service will follow the visitation at the Funeral Home starting at 11:00AM.

A burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
