Carol Maxzine Bishop, 77, formerly of Stewartstown, passed away on May 10, 2026.
Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Carl Walter and Lucille Ollie Stutz. She was the loving wife of 62 years to Carl W. Bishop of Stewartstown; they were together 64 years.
Carol enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for decorating the best cakes. She was a master seamstress, owning her own company with her husband called C & C Most Headliners, a Mom-and-Pop shop you could say. She was an avid fan of the Washington Nationals & the Washington Redskins. She was well loved by many and often would give back to the community whether it was walking and raising money to support Relay for Life or crocheting for the homeless and NICU babies. Her passion was cats, rescuing and caring for many of them over the years. Mostly though, Carol loved and was committed to her husband and her family.
In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her daughter, Caral DeVenny (John), 3 grandchildren Sarah Honaker (Eric), John DeVenny (Gina), and Kayla DeVenny, 5 great grandchildren, Ella, Sadie and Emme Honaker, Molly and Emma DeVenny; 3 brother- in -laws Wayne, Ralph and Mike; and sister-in-law Sue. She was preceded by her parents and 5 siblings Audrey, Barbara, Jackie, Allie, and Joseph.
