Carole L. Elmore (Mullin)

Carole L. Elmore, 71, died Saturday, July 1, 2017, at York Hospital. She was the wife of Larry J. Elmore. Carole received her Master's degree in Social Work from Marywood University in Scranton. A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Shrewsbury Assembly, 234 N. Main St., Shrewsbury. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, at the church with the Reverend Jason Tourville officiating. Burial will be in Joseph Giesey Memorial Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Arrangements are by the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 Second St., New Freedom. Born March 14, 1946, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of James S. Hendry and late stepmother, Winifred (Wall) Hendry of Pluckemin, NJ and the late Laura C. (Mullin) Hendry.She was a member of the Shrewsbury Assembly.In addition to her husband, Mrs. Elmore is survived by step children, Damon Elmore of Aurora, CO, Darren Elmore of Glen Rock, Devin Elmore of Baltimore, MD, Danielle Miller of York; step grandchildren, Anna, Cameron, Trevor and Zoe Miller of York, Peyton and Abby Elmore of Glen Rock; siblings, June Brown, of Bridgewater, NJ, James Hendry of New York State and Douglas Hendry of Reddington, NJ.
