Carroll E. Nace

Carroll Eugene Nace, 75, of Jacobus, passed away at Wellspan York Hospital on Monday, December 8, 2025. Born in Glen Rock, he was the son of the late Elmer George and Margaret Mary (Wolf) Nace. He was the loving husband to Schreall “Chevy” (Klinedinst) Nace.

Carroll retired from the U.S. Navy after 24 years of service; including a tour in Vietnam and the Gulf War. He was a member of the Glen Rock American Legion Post #403 and the Shrewsbury V.F.W. He volunteered as an E.M.T. for the Glen Rock Ambulance Club. Carroll would also volunteer his time at his church, Christ Church in Jacobus. He enjoyed landscaping, gardening, and woodworking; he like to make tool chests, shelving, elaborate doors, and shadow boxes for VA metals. He absolutely loved his Dachshund family members, most recently Bella & Baby Girl.

He is survived by his wife, Chevy; children, Jarrod Hollingshead, Christopher Simmons, Beth Kaltreider, and 2 other children; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 1-2pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, Pa 17363. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2pm with Military Honors presented. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Caroll’s memory to Christ Church, 200 N Main St, Jacobus, PA 17407.
