Carroll B. Swam

Carroll B. Swam, 85, of New Park, PA passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026. He was the son of the late Norman and Gladys (Masemore) Swam.

Carroll grew up in Northern Baltimore County and graduated from Hereford High School, continuing his education and graduating from Towson University in Education. Carroll was a lifetime educator, storyteller, and local Bluegrass legend. He was the proprietor of the Gatchellville Store and loved antiques and restoration. He was an avid hiker and greatly enjoyed sharing the history of Northern Baltimore County.

He is survived by his three children, Chris Swam, Jason Swam (Sarah), and Carrie Swam (Scott De Luca); four grandchildren, Haleigh, Madelyn, Tori, and Alexandra; sister, Karen Swam; and nephew Steven and his family. He was predeceased by his wife Linda Sarubin who passed in 2022.
