Charlotte L. Parrish, 84, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Gettysburg Hospital on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Born in Glen Rock, she was the daughter of the late Earl R. and Helen E. (Ensor) Walker. She was the loving and devoted wife of 65 years to Donald J. Parrish.
Charlotte was a lifetime member of Bethlehem Steltz Church in Glen Rock. She was in the graduating class of 1959 from Susquehannock High School. She was the owner and operator of ‘Parrish’s Styling Boutique’ and ‘Scissors in Motion’ for 25 years. She enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake Bay and was a member of the Bush River Yacht Club for 30 years. She also loved to sew and cross-stitch. Charlotte loved her time living at Myrtle Beach where she loved hosting family gatherings and events. In her later years, she and Don moved to Cross Key Village where she taught the Diamond Art Club. Above all, Charlotte was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she loved spending time and visiting with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; two children, Curis Parrish and his wife Peg, Mary Buterbaugh and her husband Brian; 4 grandchildren, Tyler Parrish (Shannon), McKenzie Parrish, Laura Mellott (Zach), and Casey Grams (Nic); 7 great-grandchildren, Barrett, Hawkins, Armaya, Chesney, Andi, Rowan, and Teagan; brother, Norman Walker (Hazel); and sister, Darlene Spies Flemmens (Dwayne). Charlotte was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Winemiller.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church, 5890 Steltz Rd, Glen Rock, PA 17327, on Saturday, January 31, from 10am-12pm. The Celebration of Life will begin at 12pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Charlotte to Bethlehem Steltz Church.
