Charlotte Anna Simon (Vollmer)

Charlotte Anna Simon, 98, died Wed., January 18, 2017. She was the wife of the late Earl Benjamin Simon and daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Herzog) Vollmer. Viewing will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2017, at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA with the funeral service beginning at 3 p.m. Interment in Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery, Baltimore, MD, will take place on Monday at 10 a.m. Born December 30, 1918 in Baltimore, Charlotte was an administrative assistant for the City of Baltimore. Surviving are three children, Gail S. Sopher, and her husband Terry of Oak Grove, MO, Kathy Kane, and her husband Joseph of Glenville, PA and John C. Simon of Aiken, SC; two grandchildren, Kristy Carter, and her husband Joseph, and Benjamin Sopher, and his wife Nikki; two great grandchildren, Joey Carter and Callum Sopher; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Alma Huber of Baltimore.
