Corinthia B. Henry, 90, died Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at SpiriTrust, Shrewsbury. She was the wife of the late Elmer W. Henry. Viewing will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, June 5 at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 24 N. Second St. New Freedom. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at the Mortuary with the Rev. Katie Brantner officiating. Burial will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Born March 30, 1927, in New Freedom, Corinthia was the daughter of the late Elmer and Hester (Shaffer) Brenneman.Corinthia had been a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Shrewsbury and a former Sunday School Teacher at Friedensall Lutheran Church, Seven Valleys. She and her late husband, Elmer were owners of the former Henrys Paint and Hardware, Shrewsbury from 1970-1983. During the early 1960's Corinthia was a Girl Scout Brownie Leader. She also was employed with the former American Insulator Corp. during the late 1940's and early 1950's. Corinthia loved spending time with her family and all the grandchildren. Corinthia is survived by a son, Bret A. Henry and his wife, Karen; three daughters, Darlene L. Smith and her husband, Janna, Judy B. Schriver, Lu Ann A. Winemiller; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four great- great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Ava Vandyke.
