Donald E. Thompson, 88, sone of John and Genevieve Thompson, has passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026. Donald was the beloved husband of Anne (Rowan); devoted father of Stephen Thompson (Debbie), Mary Ellen Cuthie (Ed), Anne Marie Thomspn Brady (Tom), and Alison Plowman (Jon); cherished grandfather of Kyle Thompson (Katelyn), Tyler Brady (Mercedes), Kendall Winters (David), Taylor Brady (Michael), Alayna Tawney, Emily Roslin (Michael), Ryan Cuthie (Leah), Taryn Brady, Corinne Brown (Tez), A.J. Plowman, and Mackenzie Plowman. Great Grandfather of Wyatt, Blakely, Wolfgang, Sunny Grace, Tiffany, Lemmy, Gionni, Kaden, Carmine and Rocco. Dear brother to Rose DiVenti, Michael Thompson, James Thompson (Alice), Patricia Miles, and the late William Thompson, John Thompson, Ann Mankes, Martha Smith, Mary Foy, Catherine Colleran, Genevieve Reif, Charles Thompson, and Robert Thompson.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Donald life at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, Pa 17363 on Sunday, October 11, 2026 from 1-3 pm & 5-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom, Pa 17349, on Monday, October 12, 2026 at 12pm. Interment will immediately follow mass in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
