Donald Lewis Wilson, 77, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at the home of his daughter, Crystal Turner.Donald was husband of the late Elsie May (Hare) Wilson.Born, March 28, 1939, in Walkers, Baltimore County, MD, he was a son of the late Joseph Frank and Blanche Ester (Bell) Wilson. Viewings will be held on Tuesday, August 2, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm from the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc. 24 N. Second St., New Freedom.A funeral service will begin at 10 am on Wednesday, August 3 at the mortuary, with the Rev. Dr. Peggy Click officiating.Burial is in Pine Grove UM Cemetery, Parkton, MD. Donald had retired in 1999 following 30 years employment with the Maryland State Highway Administration. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, restoring tractors and repairing small engines. Surviving are children, Donald Lee Wilson, Joseph LeRoy Wilson, Bryan E. Wilson, Lola J. Wilson and Lewis F. Wilson all of Freeland, MD, Jennifer R. Wells of Rural Retreat, VA, Robert J. Wilson of Freeland, MD and Crystal M. Turner and her husband Bryan of Glen Rock, two brothers, Calvin Wilson of Dundalk, MD and Joseph Wilson of Freeland, MD, three sisters, Mildred “Sis” Headley of Dundalk, MD, Pauline Gouge and Margie Walchuck both of Freeland, MD, 11 grandchildren, two great grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.
