Dorothy Ann Haviland

Dorothy Ann Haviland, age 82, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 24, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late, Terrence Michael Haviland.Dorothy was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 25, 1939. Dorothy was a homemaker of her own home, but was so much more than that. She was the chef, housekeeper, caretaker, entertainer, shoulder to lean on and all around mom to all. She enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales and flea markets, carnivals (where she especially enjoyed eating the funnel cakes), attending car showswith her daughter, Donna, and son in law, Glenn, (but didn’t like to ride in Donna’s car, because it was too loud). Above all else, Dorothy loved her family deeply. Dorothy is survived by her loving daughters; Christina Lippold (Mark) and Donna Russell (Glenn); dear grandchildren, Danny Russell, Steven Haviland, Jennifer Haviland, Leonard Russell and William Russell;great grandchildren, Jacob, Jace, Valerie, Chevylyn, Madalyn, and Laylah; sisters, Thelma Pletzer of Finksburg, MD and Betty Norris (Melvin) of North Carolina; she is preceded in death by her husband, Terrence Michael Haviland; son, Terrence Michael Haviland, Jr.; and siblings, Calvin, Leon, Carl and Esther. She was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew her. A viewing will be held on Friday, April 29th, from 2:00 pm -4:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm,at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Cares, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA 17349. An additional viewing will be held on Saturday morning, April 30th, from 10:00 am- 11:00 am, with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow in the Mays Chapel Cemetery, 11911 Jenifer Rd., Timonium, MD 21093.
