Edith Tweed (Grimm)

Edith Grimm Tweed, 81, of Hastings, Fla., died Dec. 20, 2015, at the Bailey Family Center for Caring. She was born in Parkton, Md. She was a registered nurse 3-11 Supervisor for many years at Flagler Hospital, Marine Street, and was the assistant of director of nursing at Ponce Care Center. She retired as a senior registered nurse from the St. Johns County Health Department after 12 years of service. Mrs. Tweed was a Graduate of Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Baltimore, Md., and St Johns River Community College, St Augustine, Fla. She devoted 47 years to the health care profession as an registered nurse, and donated time to two tours to South Florida after Hurricane Andrew. A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Craig Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held next week in the Bosley Methodist Church Cemetery in Sparks, Md., where she will be laid to rest next to her husband and grandson. She was the loving wife of 30 years to the late Wiliiam Henry Tweed. She was preceded in death by William L. Fisher, grandchild. She is survived by daughters, Patricia L. Fisher, of Westminster, Md., Barbara L. Rorke, of Manchester, Md., and Cynthia A. Henley, of Hastings, Fla; sister, Dorothy Sheffer, Shrewsbury, Pa.; and brother, Robert Grimm, Mount Wolf, Pa.; grandchildren, Benjamin Fisher, Jacson Rorke, Jessica Price, Michael Johnson and William Henley; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations can be made to Community Home Health, St Augustine, Fla, and Hospice of Northeast Florida.
