Elbert E. Noonkester, 74, died Friday, April 29, 2016, at Darway Elder Care, Forksville, Pa. He was the husband of the late Amy J. (Lane) Noonkester. There will be a visitation from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at Woodbine Believers Assembly, 9463 Woodbine Road, Airville, with a celebration of Elbert's life to begin at 11 a.m. The Rev. James A. Baldwin will officiate. Interment will take place at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens at the family's convenience. The J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc. of Stewartstown is assisting the family. Born November 11, 1941, in Fawn Grove, York County, Elbert was the son of the late Raymond and Catherine (Parlett) Noonkester, Sr. Elbert was employed with Joe Spencer as a carpenter, building homes in the York County area. He had also worked on his grandmother's farm. Elbert was a member of the Woodbine Believers Assembly. He enjoyed woodcrafts and quilting. Elbert leaves three daughters, Peggy S. Tyson of Fawn Grove, Connie M. Grove and her husband, Scott of Airville, and Bonnie K. Baldwin and her husband, James of Airville; five grandchildren, Christine, Isaiah, Hunter, Michael, and Austin; one step-granddaughter, Jessica; three step great-grandchildren, Elijah, Aiden, and Landon; and a brother, Raymond Noonkester, Jr. of Fawn Grove.
