Elizabeth “Betty” A. Healy, 74, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018.She was the beloved wife of Thomas J. Healy and they just recently celebrated 52 years of marriage on August 6. Betty was born in Queens, NY, to the late George and Grace (Corcoran) Mueller. She recently retired from the Paul Smith Library of Southern York County, Shrewsbury, where she continued as a volunteer.She also volunteered at the Lord’s Lunch at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Freedom.As a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, she sponsored a dear friend who completed the RICA Program. Betty was a wonderful loving wife, mother, and nana.She was quick-witted and a fierce competitor.She loved to laugh and dance. Betty had a passion for words and reading and could turn any phrase into a song. To meet her was to love her and she will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband, Thomas, she is survived by their three children, Anne T. Jones, and her husband Larry, of Towson, Md., Kerry E. Healy, of Towson, Md., and John K. Healy, and his wife Diane, of Concord, Mass.; 3 grandchildren, Luke, Liam, and Landon Jones; a brother, George Mueller, and his wife Fran of Kings Park, NY. Betty was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Grace Mueller. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 11, at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom, Pa. 17349, with a Funeral Liturgy beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s memory to: St. Jude Tribute Program, 501 St. Jude Place, PO Box 1000 Memphis, TN 38105.
