Ethel M. Griffith

Ethel M. (Emerick) Griffith, 97, of York, formerly of Shrewsbury, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Albert L. and Myrtle B. (Dandelet) Emerick. She was the loving wife to the late Harry E. Griffith.

Ethel was a long time member to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Freedom as well as the Jewel’s Club. She enjoyed knitting and doing puzzles. Above all, she absolutely loved and adored her family.

She is survived by her two daughters, M. Patricia Haines and her husband Gary, and Nancy A. Walker and her husband William; 6 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry and her sister.
