Evelyn A. Stough (Russell)

Evelyn A. (Russell) Stough, 87, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Lancaster. She was the wife of the late Gerald E. Stough. Following cremation a Graveside Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 8, at St. Peter's Cemetery, Yellow Church Road, Seven Valleys. Officiating will be Pastor Thomas E. Beck. Born April 15, 1930 in Codorus Township, Evelyn was the daughter of the late William G. Russell Sr. and Myrtle I. (Taylor) Russell. Evelyn was a life long resident of Southern York County. She had attended St. Peter's Church in Seven Valleys. She was well known as an avid golfer. Evelyn was a member of Bon Air Country Club and Cool Creek Country Club. She was the Women's York County Amateur Champion golfer in 1973. Evelyn enjoyed baking and making candy which she would just give to her friends. Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Kathy Ann Fritz and her husband John; four grandchildren, Timothy, LeAnn and Christopher Stough, Elizabeth Fritz and four great-grandchildren, Brooke, Loghan, Owen and Oliver.
