Everette "Jim" D. Marsteller

Sep 30, 1946 — Oct 8, 2026

New Park

Everette “Jim” D. Marsteller, 80, of New Park, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Thursday, October 8, 2026, peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side.

Born September 30, 1946, in York, Jim was son of the late William Dale and Maude Elizabeth “Betty” (Morris) Marsteller. He was the husband of Karen M. (Snodgrass) Marsteller with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.

Jim attended and graduated from Kennard Dale High School in the class of 1965. He was a Vietnam era veteran and proudly served his country as an Army Reserve in the US National Guard. He was a parts manager and worked for International Harvesters Dealerships for many years and later retired from Centre View Automotive.

In his free time, Jim loved researching the history of the 392nd Bomb Group from World War II. He became interested in this as his own uncle; Jim Morris lost his life on the bomber plane along with many other airmen. Jim spent a lot of time researching the occurrence, contacting the generations of loved ones left behind, and corresponding with them. He made many trips to Germany and nurtured friendships as well, all in ode to “Old Glory” and those who gave their lives in World War II.

Jim also loved music and playing the guitar. He played with several bluegrass bands & enjoyed playing for the children's choir at church.

He was a Master Mason and longtime member of Friendship Lodge No. 663, as well as member of Centre Presbyterian Church in New Park, and the American Legion Post 455 of Stewartstown.

In addition to his loving wife Karen, Jim is survived by one son, Chad Marsteller and his wife Wendy, daughter in law, Beth Hash, grandchildren, Derek Marsteller, Shane Marsteller and Madison Marsteller, two step grandchildren, Kyle and Cameron, three step great-grandchildren, brother, Rick Marsteller and his wife Terri, sister Barbara Wilson and her husband Donald Wilson, as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William “Chip” D. Marsteller.
