F. Robert "Bob" Mohar, 88, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at ManorCare Health Services, South. He was husband of Norma Mae (Hendrix) Mohar who died Monday, December 7, 2015. A visitation for both Bob and his wife, Norma, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, December 11, at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. A funeral service for Bob and Norma will be held on Saturday, December 12, at 11 a.m. at the mortuary with the Rev. John C. Dorr, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in New Freedom Cemetery.Bob was born January 29, 1927, in New Freedom, York County, a son of the late Frank W. and Clara Elizabeth (Bailey) Mohar. Bob was a veteran with the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He had retired from the former Superior Mold Company of Winterstown where he had been employed as a tool and die maker for many years. Bob had been prevoiusly employed at Crescent Industries and the former American Insulator of New Freedom.He was a lifetime member of the Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church of Glen Rock and was also a member of VFW Post #7012, New Freedom. Bob was an avid fan and season ticket holder of the former Baltimore Colts. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Bob leaves four children, Michael R Mohar and his wife, Tina M. of Jacobus, Frank E. Mohar and his wife, Chrystle of Dallastown, Julia R. Kish of New Freedom, and Andy L. Mohar and his wife, Tina L., also of New Freedom; 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Neal of New Freedom.
