Frank Robert 'Bob' Leitner

Frank Robert ‘Bob’ Leitner, 84, passed from this life on Saturday, May 24, 2025. He was the loving husband of Carol (Downie) Leitner and they were married for over 60 years. Born in Groveton, PA, he was the son of the late Albert and Rosella (Weber) Leitner.

Bob enjoyed bicycling and dirt bike riding with the kids in his younger years. Always had a passion and talent for woodworking and made many cherished heirlooms for his wife and family. After retirement he enjoyed traveling with the Airstream, especially to Florida in the winter months. Bob always enjoyed taking the grandchildren on camping trips. He will be greatly missed.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Robert E. Leitner and his wife, Bobbi, Daniel R. Leitner and his wife, Cammy, and Beth Ann Leitner; 3 grandchildren, Mason and his wife, Miranda, Zachary, and Brooke Leitner; and two great grandchildren, Payton and Harper Leitner. Frank was preceded in death by 6 siblings.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a public viewing from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom, PA 17349. A Funeral Liturgy will begin at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest in the adjoining church cemetery immediately following the Funeral Liturgy.
