Gail S. Posedenti, 86, of Freeland, MD, passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family on June 24, 2025.
Born in Baltimore, MD, on September 14, 1938, Gail was the daughter of the late Howard F. and Ruth P. (O’brien) Sprucebank. She had a beautiful marriage with her husband, Joseph J. Posedenti, Jr., who passed away in 2022, whom she had the privilege to spend 67 wonderful years with.
Gail worked at GMAC as an Account Representative in finance, where she retired after 28 years.
A woman of many joys, Gail found true happiness in life’s simple pleasures—reading a good book, preparing home-cooked meals, and gathering around the table with loved ones. She especially cherished any occasion that brought her family and friends together. Always the gracious hostess, Gail loved to entertain, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored.
Her love for Christmas was unmatched, and her home always glowed with the warmth of poinsettias—one of her favorite flowers. Gail believed wholeheartedly in the healing power of laughter, often saying, “Never lose your sense of humor." A motto she lived by throughout her life and passed on to those around her. Her enduring sense of humor and positive spirit were constants, no matter the circumstances.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon J. Heater (Chuck), her grandchildren Shannon Sharp (Evan), Garrett J. Posedenti (Dani), Jared M. Posedenti (Fiancé Mikayla) and Shelby Heater, her siblings Phyllis Seabrease, Keith Sprucebank, and Lynne Coleman, and many nieces and nephews.
Gail is predeceased by two children Scott J. Posedenti and Steven J. Posedenti, two grandchildren Steven Jr. and Bailey Heater, and two brothers James Sprucebank and Gerald Sprucebank.
