Gary Albert Cummings

Gary Albert Cummings, 70, of York, PA. Passed away peacefully next to his wife, Deborah S. Cummings.

Gary was born on August 15, 1954. He was the son of Albert Franklin Cummings and Bettie Lou (Stahler). He is survived by his wife Deborah S. Cummings, his children Jamie L. Cummings, Heather D. Jeffery (Craig) and Ben F. Cummings (Rachel), his grandchildren Toni-Rayanne Waltimyer, Deindra Jeffery, Cian Jeffery, Shannon Jeffery, his siblings Dennis Cummings and Ruth-Anne Hendrickson and many nieces and nephews.

Gary graduated from Susquehannock High School Class of 1972, he played High School Football. He loved the outdoors and the beach. He loved to help work on older classic cars and fire trucks in his free time. John Wayne was his hero and Gary loved to watch Old Westerns. He enjoyed classic music such as the Beatles and Johnny Cash. Gary worked at Baltimore city schools as a custodian, he got his CDL to drive trucks, he worked for Canning House and Cole Steel York. Gary was such a gentleman and treated his wife of 52 years, like a queen.

Hartenstein’s Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N Second st, New Freedom, PA 17349, will be assisting the family with arrangements.

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 1:00pm - 2:00 pm at Hartensteins Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc.

Funeral Service will follow starting at 2:00pm where we will proceed to Mt. Zion Cemetery, 20901 Mt Zion Rd, Freeland, MD 21053.
