Gordon S. Rader

Gordon Stely Rader, 72 of Glen Rock, PA entered into rest on January 2, 2021. He was the loving husband of Carole J. (Cox) Rader, together they shared 52 years of marriage. Gordon was born in Baltimore, MD on March 8, 1948 and was the son of the late Harold and Dorothy (Stely) Rader. After graduation of high school he married his high school sweetheart, Carole. He then joined the National Guard and served his country for 25 years. Gordon was an insurance adjuster which often had him traveling to areas that were affected by natural disasters. He was a member of the Glen Rock VFW Post 850 and Jefferson Sportsman Club. He was a member of St. Paul’s Independent Church in Millers, MD. In addition to his wife Carole, he is survived by his children Michael Rader and his wife Jessica of York, and his daughter Suzanne Greer of Glen Rock. Pop Pop will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Elizabeth, Wilhelm, and Avery Rader, and Kaitlyn and Mason Greer. There will be a visitation on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Independent Church; 5010 St. Paul’s Rd. Millers, MD 21102. A Memorial Service for immediate family and friends will begin at 11:00am on Saturday at the church. Those in attendance are asked to wear a mask, and social distance as appropriate.
