Hilda M. Winemiller

Hilda Mae (Routson) Winemiller, 78, died December 30, at home, after battling lung cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles Winemiller. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the memorial service starting at approximately 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Pylesville, Md. The Rev. Melissa A. McDade will officiate. Hilda was born on August 18, 1937 in Railroad, a daughter of the late Sydney and Edna (Tyson) Routson. Hilda worked at the Stewartstown and Railroad sewing factories, then as a unit clerk at York Hospital Recovery Room, where she retired. The job Hilda loved most was being a homemaker and taking care of her family and friends. She enjoyed going on cruises and spending time at the family's cabin. She was also known as the yard sale queen and the lawn mower lady. She is survived by her loving daughter Karen Winemiller; granddaughter, Amber Cunningham Brunicke; great-grandchildren, Trinity and Russell Brunicke and Daniel Shaeffer; and one brother, George Routson. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a cancer organization of your choice or St. Paul United Methodist Church, c/o Anna Lee Sadler, 1887 Eden Mill Rd., Pylesville, MD 21132.
