Jack Willis Chambers, Jr. 80 of New Freedom, PA passed away on October 25, 2025, in Baltimore, MD where he was born in 1944 to Jack Willis Chambers, Sr. and Evelyn Elizabeth (Matthews) Chambers. Jack was the beloved husband of the late Julianna Chambers, whom he married in 1999 sharing 22 years of marriage until her passing in 2021.
He is survived by his sister Theresa Chambers Waltermyer (Steve) of Baldwin, MD, and Patricia Chambers of Perry Hall, MD, a niece, 3 nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by stepson David Jason Earling of Shrewsbury, PA, his two sons Cole and Logan, 6 additional step-grandchildren, and a host of beloved cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his eldest sister Frances Chambers Gambo and stepdaughter Jennifer Lena (Earling) Hall.
Jack graduated from Calvert Hall College High School in 1962 and while working full time, he completed his accounting degree at night at the University of Baltimore. Jack held several positions early in his career until he found the perfect fit as the controller for Radebaugh Florists in Baltimore County where he worked for many decades.
He loved sports but especially ice skating and ice hockey. He became a referee in the American Hockey League. His career was cut short when attempting to break up a game fight, his leg was severely injured during one of his first assignments in Baltimore’s Civic Center. But skating was still a big part of his life, and he continued to work and skate at the Mt. Pleasant Ice Arena. Through the years he enjoyed playing golf, baseball, softball and basketball in various leagues and most recently discovered pickleball and played often at venues near his home.
Even though Jack was often a man of few words, to his friends and family he was a steady and dependable presence. He could always be counted on to do what needed to be done, whatever it was. His loyalty, generosity, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
