James C. Gray

James C. ‘Bunky’ Gray, 90, of Stewartstown, PA, passed from this life on Sunday, June 22, 2025. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of the late James R. and Katherine A. (Gosnell) Gray. He was the loving husband to the late Mary E. (Eurice) Gray and they were married on October 2, 1955.

James served his country proudly, and was a devoted husband, father, and a friend to all who knew him. He loved all sports, especially golf. He enjoyed numerous family vacations up and down the Eastern seaboard. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church as well as St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

He is survived by two children, Jeffrey Gray and his wife, Brenda, and Sandra Wilson and her husband, John; 5 grandchildren, Doug Gray and his partner, Amanda, Justin Gray, Zach Wilson and his partner, Jenn, Elizabeth Wilson and her partner, Andrew, and Emily Broughton and her partner, Joe; a sister, Lynne Eurice and her husband, Jerry; and a sister-in-law, Theresa Huskins; and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Duane Broughton and a sister, Martha E. Wasiuk and her late husband, Stan.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 10-11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom, PA 17349 with a Funeral Liturgy beginning at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife in the adjoining church cemetery following the Liturgy.
