James E. Romoser

James E. Romoser, Sr., 81, died Sunday, January 29, 2017. He was the loving husband of Dianne (Sands) Romoser and they celebrated 55 years of marriage on January 8, 2017. Private services and interment. J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc. is assisting the family with the arrangements. Born in Baltimore, Md., James was the son of the late Joseph Henry and Catherine (Conroy) Romoser. After serving in the U.S. Army, James worked for AT&T for 38 years, first as a lineman, and later as a telephone installer and repairman. He enjoyed golfing, hockey, and took great pleasure in watching his grandchildren play sports. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Mary A. Gibbs, and her husband Joseph of York, and James E. Romoser, Jr., and his wife Kimberly of Stewartstown; four grandchildren, Matthew Romoser, Megan Gibbs, Haley Romoser, and Michael Gibbs; a niece, Carol Romoser; and three nephews, Joe, Jimmy, and Ken Romoser. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Henry Romoser.
