Jean M. Simons, 90, died Thursday, January 12, 2017. She was the loving wife of June Bruce Simons, who died in May of 1988. There will be a public visitation on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, with a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. The Rev. Larry W. Wilson will officiate. Interment will be private. Jean was born March 17, 1926, in Baltimore, Md., a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Armacost. She was employed by Fawn Plastics; AAI; and Southern Die Casting. She loved playing Bingo, working in her yard during the warm summer months, and will be remembered as a wonderful woman who loved her family deeply. She will be greatly missed. Surviving is a daughter, Rosalee Bedsaul and her husband, Dwight of White Hall, Md.; two grandchildren, Brian Bedsaul and Traci Trimmer and her husband, Mike; one great-grandchild, Brent Bedsaul; and many nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by four sisters.
