John Henry Eby

John Henry Eby, 90, of Shrewsbury passed away, on Thursday, April 17, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Norma “Jean” (Taylor) Amspacher, two daughters Debra L. Cooper (husband Scott), and Vicki King.

He is also survived by six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and many dear neighbors and friends.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers Ronald and Edward Eby.

John was born in Harrisburg, PA, son of John Marlin and Dorothy Erma (Hostetter) Eby. He was a United States Navy veteran.  He retired from John Deere & Co. He also enjoyed doing small engine repairs, fishing, and traveling. He was devoted to his wife and kids; he also loved his yellow tabby, Daisy.

Public viewing will be on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA followed by a service at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow at Pine Grove U.M. Church Cemetery.
