Joseph C. Lloyd

Joseph “Joe” Charles Lloyd, 94, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 with his family by his side. Born in Fawn Grove, he is the son of the late Paul E. and Hazel (Knopp) Lloyd. He was the loving husband of 71 years to Iantha E. (Hammons) Lloyd.

Joe worked at Brown’s Orchard for over 20 years before becoming a machine operator for a printing company for over 25 years. He enjoyed working with his hands, which involved wood working and vegetable gardening. Joe also enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting Hess trucks and antique tractors. He used to volunteer in the kitchen during ‘Old Tyme Days’ in Fawn Grove. Joe had a great passion for his ’63 Chevy and his Nova as well as watching every Orioles game and the Ravens. Joe was a family man and loved his family and his Lord.

Joe is survived by his wife of 71 years, Iantha; 4 children, Jo Ann Bowlsbey (James, III), Donna Divelbliss, Cindy Bergman, and Joseph “Joey” Lloyd, Jr,; 9 grandchildren, Stan Divelbliss, James Bowlsbey IV, Shane Bowlsbey, Greg Copen, Josh Copen, Joseph Lloyd III, Brooke Crandell, Varick Lloyd, and Frank Buttorff; 4 great-grandchildren, Harley Copen, Laynee Copen, Rowan Crandell, and Rhett Crandell; and 5 siblings, Marty Lloyd, Norman Lloyd (Blanche), Lilly Fix (Bill), Elsie Joines, and Barb Ayres (Eve). Joe was preceded in death by his son, Marcus O. Lloyd; and 3 siblings, Harold Lloyd, Wick “Hugh” Lloyd, and Kenny Lloyd.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 6-8pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. A second viewing will be held Wednesday, October 29th from 11am-12pm at the funeral with the funeral service beginning at 12pm, officiated by Pastor Tim Hodge. Interment will immediately follow the service in St. Paul’s United Methodist Cemetery in Pylesville, MD.
