Katherine A. Freemon

Katherine Ann Freemon, 67, of New Freedom, passed away unexpectedly at home Thursday, March 20, 2025. Born in Cheverly, Maryland, she was a daughter to Helen (Watts) Freemon and the late Robert Earl Freemon.

Katherine enjoyed the family trips to Emerald Isle Beach in North Carolina. Kathy was a fantastic Aunt to her nieces & nephews.  She loved having them over for sleepovers, tea parties & taking them to paint pottery.  She also enjoyed playing games & making jewelry with them at the beach.    She loved her cats, antique shopping, and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. She retired after 35 years working for a commercial insurance company.

She is survived by her mother, Helen; sister, Lisa Reif and her husband Mike; nieces and nephews, Tanner Reif, Casey Lapp and her husband Ryan, Spencer Freemon and Hayley Freemon; and great niece and nephew, Nora and Nolan Lapp. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Freemon; and brother, Edward E. Freemon.

Everyone is invited to a memorial service on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11 AM at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue at https://www.2ndchance4liferescue.org/
