Katherine L. Hawes

Katherine L. (Rineheart) Hawes, 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Katherine (Johnson) Rineheart. She was the loving wife of 55 years to the late Isaac S. Hawes when he passed in February 2022.

Katherine enjoyed spending most of her time reading. She loved traveling with Isaac, especially to Tennessee. She loved her cats and most of all her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Bowman and her husband Paul; 2 granddaughters, Tiffany Raybin and her husband Mark, and Nicole Anderson and her husband Matt; 7 great-grandchildren; and 3 brothers, James Rineheart, Clifton “Harvey” Rineheart, and Charles Rineheart. She was predeceased by her daughter, Christina Hawes; and Great Grandaughter Eleanor Raybin.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
