Katheryn L. Simms

Katheryn L. Simms, went home to be with her husband and son on AUgust 31, 2026. Born on July 11, 1943 in Baltimore County, Maryland. She was the daughter of Joseph Thomas Cole and Pearl M. (Fishpaw).

Katheryn was a deeply religious and devout person. She loved her family and was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was always making blankets and gifting them to her loved ones.

Kass worked many years in the health industry manufacturing medical products. She then moved on to help mentally and physically handicapped persons.

Katheryn is survived by her son Michael J. Simms, Jr. and her daughter Jeanette K. Scott, her 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her husband Michael J. Simms, Sr. her son John T. Simms and her siblings.

A public viewing will be held on Wednesday September 9th, 2026 at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. (24 N. Second St. New Freedom, PA 17349) from 4:00PM - 6:00PM.

A private Graveside will be held at the convenience of the family.
