Larry Eugene Tillman, 83, of New Freedom, PA, previously of Norrisville, MD, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026. Born in Springfield, VA, he was the son of the late McCaul E. and Willa (Hart) Tillman. He was the loving husband of 64 years to Pat (Koermer) Tillman.
Growing up, Larry was raised by Harry and Virginia Hart on their farm in Norrisville, where he developed his lifelong love of all things farming. He was an avid motorcyclist --his favorite color was chrome. His favorite pastimes included hunting, softball, coaching, Norrisville Rec Council, westerns on TV, and tinkering on classic cars and engines. His greatest project was with his son Scott in their garage restoring their 1950 fire engine red Chevy pickup. After he retired from BG&E as a heavy equipment mechanic, he enjoyed farming and breakfast with friends at Taylor Haus in Stewartstown. Larry loved music, especially singing and had a beautiful voice. He was an outgoing man with a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. He had a strong passion for family and was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather.
Larry is survived by his wife, Pat; 3 children, Kim Martin, Scott Tillman (Debbie), and Rhonda Ryan (Thomas); 9 grandchildren, Nikki, Mitchell, Derek, Megan, Patrick, Rachel, Mikki, Ashley, and Nicholas; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Timothy Vickrey (Susan), Robin Sheridan, and Lester Hart; and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Steve Martin; and 3 siblings, Derward “Mac” Tillman, Faith Hall, and Janet Callaway.
