Lavina J. Wolfe

Lavina J. Wolfe, 101, of Stewartstown PA passed away on September 13, 2026. Born on November 30, 1924 in New Park PA she was the daughter of the late A. Carl Jamison and Mary Kinsler (Gibney). She was the wife of the late Carroll B. Wolfe.

Lavina was a lifetime member of Prospect Church of Gatchellville in New Park, PA. She worked for the Stewartstown Sewing Factory, she was also a cook at the South Eastern School District. After retirement she worked at the Rutter’s Farm Store and also the Penndot photo center. She was an active member of the Stewartstown Senior Center where she served on the board of directors as a liaison.

Lavina will be remembered by her two sons Jack B. Wolfe (Wife Gloria), Jay A. Wolfe, her daughter-in-law Sharon H. Wolfe, her grandchildren Jill E. Kaylor (husband Scott), Emily J. Amberman (husband Matt), Jason B. Wolfe (wife Stacy), Rachel L. Brinton (husband Ben), John C. Wolfe (wife McKenna), her great grandchildren Brennan Kaylor, Joshua Amberman (wife McKenzie), Morgan Kaylor, Aliza Wolfe, Ana Wolfe and Elijah Brinton.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Janet C. Karalfa, siblings Albert C. Jamison, Mildred Leona Bankert, Anna Charlotte Brooks Sharrock and Norma Jean Schrum, her son-in-law Dennis R. Karalfa

A public visitation will be held at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. (19 S. Main St. Stewartstown, PA 17363) on Thursday September 17, 2026 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM and on Friday September 18, 2026 at Prospect Church of Gatchelville (8 Orchard Rd. New Park, PA 17352) from 10:00AM – 11:00AM

A funeral service will be held at Prospect Church of Gatchelville (8 Orchard Rd. New Park, PA 17352) starting at 11:00AM Friday September 18, 2026. Committal service will follow directly after in the adjoining cemetery.
