Leo Joseph Fowler, 78, of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 14, 2026.

Born on March 5, 1948, in Baltimore, Maryland, Lee was the beloved son of the late Charles and Louise Fowler. From an early age, he carried a strong sense of duty, integrity, and quiet determination, qualities that defined his life and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Lee proudly served in the United States Air Force (1967-1971), including service during the Vietnam era. His time in uniform reflected his deep commitment to his country and his willingness to put others before himself. Values he carried throughout his life.

A true fighter in every sense of the word, Lee faced cancer not once, but twice. Each time, he met the challenge with remarkable courage, resilience, and grace. Beyond his own battles, Lee became a source of strength for many others walking the same difficult road. Through heartfelt conversations, steady encouragement, and genuine compassion, he helped countless friends and acquaintances face cancer with hope. His famous and often‑repeated words, “It’s all about a positive outlook”, became a guiding reminder and a source of comfort to those who heard them.

Service to others was a central part of Lee’s life. He proudly volunteered with the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company and was an active member of the Jarrettsville Lions Club, always willing to lend a hand wherever help was needed. Lee also served faithfully as an Elder at Bethel Presbyterian Church, where his leadership, humility, and compassion touched the lives of many within the church family.

Above all else, Lee was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He shared a deep and loving bond with his wife, Kathy, of 57 years, and took great pride in his son, Dan, and daughter-in-law, Kristin (Archer). His grandchildren Sydney, Sarah, and Chase were the light of his and Kathy’s lives. He found his greatest joy in time spent with them, offering quiet wisdom, unwavering support, and unconditional love.

Lee will be remembered as a kind, steady, and honorable man. One enjoyed conversation with all those he spoke with, he helped without being asked, and lifted others up simply by being himself. He touched many lives through his humility, strength, and the positive spirit he carried through every chapter of his life.

His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the values he passed down, and the many lives made better by knowing him.
