Marie A. Olszewski

Marie Antoinette Olszewski, passed away on June 29, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on September 20, 1933, in Baltimore, MD, she was the beloved daughter of Charles Baier and Catherine (Felter) Baier.

She dedicated 35 years of her career to Lord Baltimore Laundry, where she was known for her work ethic and friendly demeanor. Marie’s warmth, generosity, and zest for life touched the hearts of many. Her laughter could brighten any room, and her kindness knew no bounds. She created a legacy of love, family, and friendship that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Marie is survived by her loving daughter, Lynda O. Knauer, who was her pride and joy. Marie was a devoted grandmother to Jessica Rednak (Scott) and Matthew Knauer. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Cameron, Jameson, and Grayson, who were the light of her life in her later years. Marie was preceded in death by her cherished husband, John M. Olszewski; sister, Dorothy A. Edmiston (Baier); and son-in-law, Maurice L. Knauer Jr.

Beyond her family, Marie was an active member of her community. She cherished her time with the Red Hat Society and spent memorable afternoons at the Stewartstown Senior Center, where she formed lasting friendships. Marie also had a passion for the great outdoors, often camping with the Good Sams Camping Club, where she shared laughter and stories under the stars with fellow enthusiasts.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday, July 14 from 10am-12pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, Pa 17363. The funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 12 pm. Interment will immediately follow the service in Round Hill Cemetery.
