Mark C. Shelden

Mark C. Shelden, 72, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 26, 2026. Born in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Gerry and Carol (Smith) Shelden. He was the loving husband to Sherry A. (Noble) Shelden for 34 years.

Mark had many interests and hobbies that go back decades; including antique cars and tractors, both animal and agricultural farming, working in farm equipment sales, and sheep herding with his beloved border collies. He attended the University of Maryland and was a member of the Shrewsbury Masonic Lodge #423, Maryland Steam Historical Society, Somerset Steam & Gas Engine Association, and the Antique Automobile Club of America. Mark was very personable and made friends everywhere he went, he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sherry; 2 sisters, Kristin Baumann (Warren), and Laura Zavadil; 2 brothers, Brian Shelden (Lily), and Eric Shelden (Carla); 9 nieces and nephew; 17 grand nieces and nephews; and 8 border collies.
