Mary Ellen Thompson

Mary Ellen Thompson, 79, of Fawn Grove, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026. Born in Glade Spring, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William and Danie (Holdaway) Testerman. She was the loving and devoted wife of 64 years to Donald R. Thompson.

Mary used to work at the Fawn Grove Sewing Factory and Fawn Grove Elementary School in the kitchen. She then worked for Stewart Connectors in Glen Rock and retired after 17 years. Mary loved to work in her yard, flower garden, reading, and listening to country music. You could always find her sitting in her chair, listening to her music on Saturday nights blaring the good old country music.

Mary is survived by her husband, Donald R. Thompson; two children, Kimberly G. Warren and her husband Douglas, and Jesse R. Thompson and his wife Laurie; 3 grandchildren, Lindsay Warren and her fiancé Zach Huffaker, Sara Thompson, and Spencer Thompson and his girlfriend Lexie Emenheiser; 3 great-grandchildren with one to arrive in April; 3 siblings, Bob Testerman, Margaret Jackson, and Ruby Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Bill Testerman, Louise Norris, and Fred Testerman.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service, officiated by Pastor Krystal Woods, on Thursday, January 29 at 11am at Prospect Cemetery (Gatchelville), 8 Orchard Rd., New Park, Pa 17352. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to Prospect Church of Gatchelville at the address above.
