Matthew Steven Bull

Matthew Steven Bull, 32, died unexpectedly at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Matt was born May 18, 1984, in York. He was employed as a carpenter for Close Construction, learning the trade from his family. He loved being in the outdoors. Matt always put others before himself and enjoyed spending endless hours with friends and family. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Susie and Daniel Kauffman; his father, Earl L. Bull, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Robert and Suzanne Close. Also six brothers, Gary, Tommy, Chris, Joe, and Adam Bull, stepbrother, Kyle Kauffman. Also numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and his dog, Spaz. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Earl L Bull, Sr. and Nora Bull. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363, with Pastor Nick Bufano officiating. Interment will follow at Old Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Township, York County, Pa. His family will receive friends between 2 and 4 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Matthew Bull Memorial Fund, c/o People's Bank, P.O. Box 925, Stewartstown, PA 17363 in order to offset expenses. Any remaining funds will be donated to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
