Mazie "Macy" Stanley Wells

Mazie “Macy” Stanley Wells, 88, of New Freedom, passed away on May 11, 2026 surrounded by the love of her daughter.

Born in Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Cecelia ( Hicks) Stanley. She was the loving wife of the late John “Johnny” Wells who died January 5, 2018.

She survived by her daughter Scarlett Elizabeth Wells; 3 nieces Velvet Joines, Lisa Marsteller and Desiree Stanley; nephew James Stanley; sister Rhoda Stanley, sister-in-law Charlotte Stanely and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded by her parents, husband, daughter Marilyn Cecelia Wells and sister Shirley Wells.

There will be a viewing on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St. Stewartstown, PA 17363 with a service to begin at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Center Presbyterian Cemetery, New Park, PA.
