Michael S. Tormollen

Michael Shane Tormollen, 46, of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, passed away at York Hospital, surrounded by family on Thursday, January 29, 2026, after a brief illness.

Born March 19, 1979, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the beloved son of Charles and Dottie (Poniatowski) Tormollen. Michael is survived by his sisters, Alison Tormollen of Baltimore, MD, Kara Lindstrom and her husband Greg, of York, PA; his nieces and nephew, Ava, Vivian, Corinne, Mirra, and Joshua, and his long-time partner, Billie Warner and their dog, Karma. He is also survived by his aunt, Rochelle Tormollen, and cousin, Lisa Lind and her husband Curt, and their children, Tori and Matthew, of Hatboro, PA.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Angela Tormollen, Frank and Dorothy Poniatowki, and uncle, Frank Poniatowski, Jr.

While he was a talented cook and worked at many restaurants in the area, Michael’s greatest love was fishing, and being outdoors. He was proud of his extensive garden and of the ducks and chickens he raised. He enjoyed landscaping and working with his hands and wanted nothing more than to be able to live off the land.

Our family is deeply grateful for the exemplary care Michael received while at York Hospital and will always remember the kindness and compassion of the Medical ICU staff. If so led, a donation to the Hopewell Fish and Game Association would help others enjoy Michael’s favorite pastime.
