Mildred Marie Myers (Nace)

Life Story for MildredMyers (Nace) After 102 years, Mildred M. "Sis" Myers was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 14, 2016. She was the second of eight children born to the late Charles E. Nace Sr. and Effie M. (McCann) Nace of Railroad, Pa. on September 23, 1913. Sis was a quiet and soft spoken yet very strong and independent lady. She was a lifetime member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Railroad. Over the years she was a dedicated homemaker in New Freedom, Pa., loved taking scenic rides through the mountains, teaching the gospel to the women's group Sunday school class and spending time with her siblings and their families. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Carroll L. "Freddie" Myers, five siblings and their spouses; Dorothy M. Caskey and Carl W. Caskey of Railroad, Pa.; Marguerite H. McWilliams and Clinton A. "Mick" McWilliams of New Freedom, Pa.; Ruby F. Robinson and H. Thomas "Tommy" Robinson of Freeland, Md.; Harry L. "Bud" Nace and Kathleen M . "Kas" (Doyle) Nace of New Freedom, Pa.; Hazel M. Noragong and William E. "Bill" Noragong of Seven Valleys, Pa., and one sister-in-law, Marcellene E. (Witman) Nace of Glen Burnie, Md. She is survived by her son, Baxter L. Myers of New Freedom, Pa., two brothers and a sister-in-law, Charles E. Nace Jr. of Glen Burnie, Md; and Robert C. "Bobby" Nace and Loretta A. (Measley) Nace of Freeland, Md., as well as four generations of nieces and nephews. Sis honored all of those who came before her by the way she lived her life and left a legacy for all those to remember who will follow her. She will always be missed yet always be remembered in the hearts of her large family.
